Meet the chef

Silvana's

STORY

Silvana Tobin, a native of Brazil, has been a cooking enthusiast her whole life.

Her passion began as a child helping her grandmother prepare Brazilian style black bean stew (Feijoada), gluten free cheese bread (Pão de Queijo) and chocolate fudge balls (Brigadeiro).

And since coming to the United States 30 years ago, she added many different cuisines to her repertoire.

For the past 8 years, Silvana has been a family chef on the Peninsula, cooking delicious healthful meals for a family of five. In addition to making fresh family dinners and food for parties, Silvana enjoys canning foods.

She makes delicious jams, pasta sauces, soups and sauces to fill the pantry with family favorites.

Passion

for Cooking

Monthly meal planning and scouring cookbooks keeps her organized and inspired. She has experience with gluten-free, low-carb and vegetarian cooking.

Silvana believes that there’s always something new to learn in cooking. She enjoys taking cooking classes and learning from other chefs. She has taken classes with Thomas Keller, Alice Waters, and Gordon Ramsay through MasterClass.

Silvana is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and is Food Handler Certified by ServSafe.
